Commissioned by the foundation, researchers from Wageningen University & Research (WUR) have updated a carbon footprint model for flower bulbs and perennials. This allows direct and indirect CO2 emissions from the use of fossil fuels in storage and transport, to be determined. This model forms the basis for activities and initiatives with which we can further reduce the carbon footprint of our products in the coming years. In addition, we can answer questions about de carbon footprint of flower bulbs and perennials more acurate.

Energy
By the year 2024, the participants in the foundation want to be using only green energy generated by installing their own solar panels and/or by purchasing sustainably generated energy.
